How Douyin differs from TikTok
Douyin is ByteDance's short-video app for the Chinese market, while TikTok serves users in other markets. The two apps use separate domains, so Douyin links look like v.douyin.com or www.douyin.com.

Do I need an account to download Douyin videos?
No. You only need the link to a public video. FDown does not ask you to log in to Douyin or create an account.
Does the downloaded video keep the Douyin watermark?
No. The MP4 has no Douyin watermark of the kind the app adds when saving. Subtitles or text the uploader added remain because they are part of the original picture.
Can FDown download Douyin videos in Full HD or 4K?
FDown saves the resolution the source offers and does not upscale. If a video has a 1080p render, the HD MP4 button gives you Full HD. FDown does not promise a 4K version.
How to download Douyin videos on iPhone and Android

Can I paste the whole Douyin share text?
Yes. The Douyin share button often copies Chinese text along with the link. FDown finds the Douyin link inside that text, so you do not need to trim it.
Can FDown download private videos or paid short dramas?
No. FDown only supports public videos. Private videos, deleted videos and paid Douyin content are not supported.
Is downloading Douyin videos a copyright issue?
